Can I be honest with you for a minute?
There have been seasons in this journey where I’ve wondered if I’m doing too much.
Where I’ve looked at everything on my plate and thought, “Did God actually ask me to do all of this, or did I just… start doing things?”
Maybe you’ve been there too.
A while back, I found myself searching the scriptures for some clarity on work.
Not a marketing strategy. Not business advice.
Just what does God actually say about work? About whether it’s okay to use your hands and your skills to contribute?
And I landed in Proverbs 31.

Now, I’ll be honest, the Proverbs 31 woman both encouraged and discouraged me at first.
She’s so… capable. She seems to do everything well, and I don’t always feel that way.
Maybe you don’t either.
But here’s what settled in my heart as I sat with it:
She worked with what she had. She didn’t wait until she had the perfect setup or the right credentials. She just used her hands, her skills, and what was in front of her. And God didn’t seem bothered at all by the variety of things she put her hands to.
That was permission I didn’t know I needed.
If you’ve ever felt guilty for working in whatever capacity you could (whether that’s your business, a side project, helping your family, or just doing the next thing in front of you), I want you to hear this:
Work itself is not the enemy. Striving without Him is.
But using your hands? Showing up? Doing what you can with what you have?
That’s not something to feel guilty about.
The work you’re doing matters. Using your hands, your skills, and whatever is in front of you, that’s not small.
That’s faithfulness. And I hope that reminder blesses you today.
