This week has been busy.
I’ve met with clients, worked on my own content, scheduled out a full month ahead for one client, and created content for another.
I’ve also been baking and prepping for the farmer’s market, testing a new cookie recipe, grocery shopping, cleaning the house for company coming this weekend, and even making a couple of trips to the UPS store because deliveries don’t always make it out here.
When I look at it all, I can honestly say… I’ve been productive.
But there’s something I catch myself thinking almost every day:
Am I actually moving things forward… or just staying busy?
Because those two things aren’t always the same.
There are days when I’m doing a lot, checking things off, staying active… and still wondering if it’s all adding up to something meaningful in the business.
And if I’m being honest, there are moments where I’ve even thought, “Is this all just a hobby? Should I go get a real job?”
But then I look a little closer.
I see the content that’s been scheduled for April.
I see the work that’s been created and completed for my clients.
I see the new recipe has been tested and is ready for market.
That’s progress.
It doesn’t always feel like big progress. It’s not fast either.
But it’s something.
I’m also realizing that moving forward sometimes looks like making decisions I don’t really want to make. Like baking less this week because we’re not making a profit yet.
That part isn’t fun. But it matters.
I keep coming back to this:
1. Things take time.
2. Showing up matters.
3. And I’m not quitting.
If you’ve been feeling busy but unsure if what you’re doing is actually moving your business forward, you’re not alone.
Just keep going. Keep showing up. Keep doing the work in front of you.
And if part of what’s slowing you down is all the behind-the-scenes work that still needs to get done, that’s exactly where I come in.
If you already have the vision and just need help bringing it to life, I’d love to partner with you.
