When the Simple Solution was Right There All Along

Sometimes the simplest solution is the one that was already right in front of you.

I’m a batcher by nature.

If I can get something done ahead of time and checked off my to-list before the week even starts. That is my happy place.

So, when I realized I had a client situation that didn’t fit neatly into my “do it all ahead of time” workflow, I had a moment.

You know the kind.

The kind where you ask the Lord to help you think creatively instead of efficiently.

And wouldn’t you know it… He came through.

Here’s the thing about working with small business owners: not everyone is set up the same way.

Some clients aren’t using Flodesk, Mailchimp, or ConvertKit.

Some clients prefer simple over complicated.

And that is perfectly okay.

But it does mean that, as a VA, I sometimes have to get creative with the tools already in place.

In this particular situation, I needed a way to ensure my client received her content on the exact day she needed to post it, without her having to dig through old emails or remember where she had saved a document.

I was already scheduling her Facebook posts in advance using Meta Business Suite.

And then it hit me.

What if I scheduled her emails the same way?

Same concept. Same idea. Just a different tool.

I went into my own business email and started scheduling a weekly email to her. Not to manage her inbox. Just a simple heads-up that lands in her inbox on the exact day her content goes live on Facebook, with the graphic and caption already attached and ready for her to post on her other platforms, too.

And just like that… the problem was solved.

No new software. No complicated systems. No learning curve for her.

Just a simple solution using something that was already there.

Here’s what I want you to take away from this:

Working with a VA shouldn’t mean overhauling everything you’re already doing. It should mean finding what works for YOU and building around that.

If you’ve been hesitant to reach out for support because you think your setup is too simple or too different, please know: simple is not a problem. Simple is something we can absolutely work with.

Hit reply and tell me where you are. I’d love to help you find your version of simple.
